Alphonso Davies speaks at the launch of his series for NFT
Bayern Munich forward Alphonso Davies’ documentary series on music and culture has launched in Canada.
The 16-year-old is donating an undisclosed sum of money to the NFT Foundation to help launch his documentary series.
The Canuck teen is helping to promote the cause by producing his own 15-minute film – Ten Thousand Lights.
It sees him travel to Senegal to help promote African women’s empowerment as he’s interviewed about how football helped him.
The teen has repeatedly spoken out about his childhood, telling Deutschlandfunk radio last year he was named world number one for a millisecond, and would return to the luxury school he attended before he’s allowed to leave.
He has taken on board all the criticism he receives, not only on social media, but on human rights issues and assisting young African players.
Davies has also been helping youngsters in London and Manchester learn to play football, as well as raising awareness for the Al-Huda Charity, which helps victims of sexual abuse.
