Jacqueline Laurita, the former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star who lives in the luxury Hidden Hills, California, neighborhood, confirmed on her Facebook page that an attempted burglar was successful in breaking into her home.
“I am so sad to report that in my backyard this morning an attempted burglar(s) was successful in stealing electronics from my home. They broke in through the back of the house. I am so sorry for the inconvenience this has caused the entire neighborhood,” she wrote in a comment to a TMZ article about the home’s break-in.
TMZ reported that a burglar entered the home through a hole in the back patio fence. After getting away, the burglar fled in a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis sedan. The car was left on the street next to the home, the report said.
FoxNews.com has reached out to Laurita for comment.
However, a neighbor of Laurita’s said he has no idea where the actor is.
“Who would do this, he’s always out here shooting guns and firing paintballs,” Kyle Burks told Fox News. “He is crazy man, don’t you know?”
Laurita is currently recovering from surgery and is on bed rest, Burks said.
“Her last episode airs the day after Christmas. Christmas at their house isn’t Christmas. Her decorations are broken,” he said.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star has a five-year-old daughter, Brooklyn, with her husband, Frank Laurita.
Chris Licht, the co-executive producer of the Bravo franchise, said the network is aware of the incident.
“We’re aware of the incident, and a proper investigation is underway,” he told Fox News.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles police are investigating the case.
